Nothing has really provoked me to say any of this, I just feel like I need to, because I'm so bored of mediocracy that I want to scream a shrill, loud, vibrato scream into the heavens. Here goes. I call this rant:

T.R.U.T.H. (Don't ask me what it stands for):
1. I do not like small talk. Mindless chatter and idle conversation frustrate me, and I'm no good at it. I would rather remain silent.
2. My parents did not properly socialize me, therefore I seem like a total bitch to anyone that doesn't know me well. At least I recognize this.
3. I care nothing about the redneck agenda or George's War, but I do respect everyone's opinion. Do not try and convince me that I am wrong, and GOOD GOD! Do not try to force-feed me Toby Keith.
4. I do not like to play games as far as emotions and people skills go. I would rather someone brutally assault me than lie to me or delay the inevitable.
5. As far as religion is concerned, I don't like talking about it with anyone that will try and change my mind. I've been to complete opposite ends of the spectrum and back on that issue, and I can honestly say, if I had all the answers, I wouldn't be living in normalcy in London, Kentucky.
6. I think personification of 'The Devil' is ridiculous, and somewhat entertaining. Evil is evil. It is an abstract concept. So is sin. To personify these concepts (as does the Christian religion) is odd to me. Therefore, I perceive The Devil like I perceive Mickey Mouse or Smokey the Bear.
7. Perception is key. I mean it just as it sounds. Perception is what makes us who we are. Everything we do in our lives (our trials and tribulations, triumphs and shortcomings) all add to the perceptions we possess as adults. Each experience we have is merely a successor to something else we've done or experienced. Our education and lessons never stop. They keep building on themselves.
8. "People are afraid of what they do not understand, and they hate what they fear." In essense, people have learned to hate what they do not understand.

Went to see 'Four Brothers' tonight. It was a really good movie. Mark Wahlberg looks a lot like Johnnie, though, but other than that, I'm glad we saw that rather than '40 Year Old Virgin.' But after seeing the previews for the 'The Cave' I want to see it, too.

Well, that's enough for now, my angry self is going to call it a night - early.

I really don't have much to say actually. I worked 3 hours of overtime this morning - well, for me its not overtime, its just regular time since I was out this week, but it was something to do and it motivated me to get out of bed this morning.

I'm going to Somerset today to be with my Mom. She had surgery on Wednesday morning on her knee. The hospital where she's staying is drastically understaffed and apparently people aren't getting the things they need, so someone needs to be with her. I guess my next post will be next weekend sometime, unless I get to use the internet at my grandparents' house. I also have to write that article this weekend and get it done for the NOW. So I called my grandmother just now. She's been having some serious emotional trouble lately, and I wanted to call and just let her know I love her and if there's anything I can do, I will.

She basically acted like nothing was wrong and like she was too busy for me. The sound of her voice on the phone was not the warm, caring voice it usually is. It was a hollow, bitter-sounding voice, and I just don't know what to say or do to help her.
